Building commissioning is a quality assurance process that has proven effective to improve the long-term economic performance of a building’s operating systems and equipment. Platinum’s commissioning work are to the highest international standards for building commissioning and follow the procedures and guidelines set out in ASHRAE and the Building Commissioning Association.

Platinum’s systematic and rigorous commissioning process ensures that the building systems are designed, installed, tested, and verified in accordance with designer’s intent, owner’s requirements, and operational needs.

Commissioning management is a systematic process of managing the overall commissioning of a building from design to handover. Our experts, with their vast international experience of commissioning, involving various building typologies, will lead the commissioning process for the project, which includes:

  • Reviewing the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR) and Basis of Design (BOD) to ensure a clear, succinct basis of performance is defined
  • Reviewing design and shop drawings for commissionability
  • Develop commissioning plans and reports
  • Performing pre-functional testing / installation verification of building systems
  • Coordinating and overseeing functional testing of building systems including integrated systems testing
  • Coordinating and verifying equipment performance warranty review
  • Coordinating and verifying O&M manuals
  • Coordinating handover and post occupancy activities such as facility management training
  • Thermographic analysis of electrical systems
  • Development of an ongoing commissioning/monitoring-based commissioning plan
